Invicta Metals Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Geena Jackson as Chair of the Board, marking an important milestone in the company’s commitment to responsible resource development, Indigenous partnership, and community-driven economic opportunity.
Jackson is a nationally recognized entrepreneur, media producer, and Indigenous economic development leader. A proud member of the shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, she brings more than 25 years of experience working with First Nations communities, industry, and government to build sustainable economic initiatives and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Throughout her career, Jackson has helped hundreds of Indigenous entrepreneurs launch and grow businesses across Canada. She is widely known as the Creator and Executive Producer of the national television program Bears’ Lair TV, which airs on APTN and CBC Gem. The program showcases Indigenous entrepreneurs from across the country as they pitch their ventures to a panel of business leaders, providing mentorship, visibility, and access to capital.
Jackson is also the Founder and President of Sparkly Frog Clan Productions, and has led numerous initiatives aimed at empowering Indigenous youth and entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, and business development training.
Her leadership has been recognized nationally, including being named a “Ones to Watch” recipient at the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, which celebrates emerging leaders shaping Canada’s economic future.
“Geena brings an extraordinary combination of entrepreneurial leadership, Indigenous economic development expertise, and community-building,” said Keerit Jutla, Founder and CEO of Invicta Metals. “Her lifelong work building bridges between Indigenous Nations, industry, and capital aligns directly with Invicta’s vision of consent-based mineral development and shared prosperity.”
As Chair of the Board, Jackson will help guide Invicta Metals’ governance and strategic direction as the company advances a modern model for mineral exploration rooted in collaboration, responsible development, and long-term partnerships with Indigenous Nations.
“I am honoured to join Invicta Metals at such an exciting moment,” said Jackson. “Canada’s natural resource sector has an opportunity to lead the world in building projects that are truly collaborative with Indigenous Nations while creating meaningful economic opportunities for communities. I look forward to supporting Invicta’s mission and helping build a stronger future together, rooted in ReconciliAction.”
